Katie Jackson, CPA, CMA earned her Masters in Accountancy from Missouri State University in 2008. She began her career as a Staff Accountant at Great Southern Bank before transitioning to Missouri State University as a Senior Accountant/Analyst. In 2010 she joined with Don Smillie to form Smillie & Jackson CPAs, becoming sole owner in 2015.
Adrian joined the Smillie & Jackson team in 2022 after having served most recently as the Business Manager for a church and school in Wichita, Kansas, and previously as an officer in the United States Air Force. He is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Management from the United States Air Force Academy.
Clarissa joined Smillie & Jackson in 2023 after moving cross-country from Utah. She studied Theatre then Elementary Education before landing on accounting, which she has decided is the most fun. She earned her associates with an emphasis in Accounting from Utah Valley University in 2020. Before joining Smillie & Jackson, she has worked as a Payroll Tax Accountant and Bookkeeper. She loves yoga and spending time with her family.
Trudy joined the Smillie & Jackson, CPA team in 2023, returning to public accounting after working as an accountant for private manufacturing and real estate investing firms. She holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Office Administration and Business Education from Northwest Missouri State University. Trudy grew up on an Angus farm, and after college left Missouri to teach high school business on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona. With a move to Florida, she began a career in public accounting and later returned to Missouri.
Before joining Smillie & Jackson in 2011, Bobbi worked for various airlines. Prior to working with the airlines, she was self-employed and prepared her own payroll and bookkeeping. In her spare time she enjoys riding her Harley all over the country, with the Motor Maids Motorcycle Club.
Karyn joined Smillie & Jackson in 2023 after a transition from the medical field and she is excited for a new adventure in accounting. A lifetime resident of the Ozarks, she enjoys all things outdoors, including fishing, hunting, and camping. Her favorite way to spend her time is being with family and friends. Karyn hopes to do some traveling in the near future.
